This episode is where Shemp, Moe and Larry play different members of a 12 person family! A hilarious nod to the parent role that Moe often attempts to be in the Stooge triplet, he plays the father of the family. All in all this is the most confusing dynamic for the Stooge set thus far, until 7 years in the future when they play 3 sets of triplets in 'A Merry Mixup'- 1957.
