ShopKnuckleheads: Goofs and Saddles- 1937

News today from ShopKnuckleheads- Even throughout the comedic relief The Boys are telling a story that had underlying tones specifically for the moral of Americans during WW2.
In 'Goofs and Saddles' the Stooges are presented as cavalry scouts on a mission sponsored by the U.S. government, and getting a note back to the cavalry is of utmost importance. They must prevail at the end of the mission, and they do whatever it takes to succeed! The more absurd the episode is, the funnier it gets as you start to truly believe they are able to save the day. Naturally, like any American Western, the climax is a gun battle resulting in victory and a monkey manning the meat-grinder Gattling Gun!
