ShopKnuckleheads: On This Day in History

News today from ShopKnuckleheads- A special 'On This Day in History'... Did you know?

Marjorie White, who starred with Larry, Moe & Curly in Woman Haters, the first Three Stooges short from Columbia, was born today July 22nd, in 1908.

The diminutive White (4’ 11”) was a multi-talented performer. She was an acclaimed actress, singer, and dancer which made her very popular on stage and screen in the 1930’s. She worked with all the big stars of the day and was favorably compared to other leading ladies of her time. In fact she received top billing in Woman Haters.

Tragically, she was killed in an auto accident shortly after the release of Woman Haters.

White’s role was the first of what would become a staple throughout The Three Stooges body of work: The very pretty girl, sometimes as damsel in distress, sometimes as the femme fatale, sometimes a trio of girls and always in the middle of the action with The Boys.
