ShopKnuckleheads: On This Day in History

News today from ShopKnuckleheads- Ann Doran Reminds Larry, Moe & Curly To Get A Present!

The lady with the monocle is actress Ann Doran in the short Three Sappy People. This was the only short she made with The Three Stooges, although she did work with Larry, Moe & Curly in two Columbia features in the 1930’s; 'Start Cheering' and 'My Sister Eileen'!

It’s her birthday today! Well, actually July 28th in 1911. She started her career at age four and literally appeared in hundreds of films and hundreds of television episodes. Two of her more memorable films Mr. Smith Goes To Washington and Rebel Without A Cause (as James Dean’s mother).

Happy Birthday Ann Doran! She would be 110 today, wow!
